Riversleigh Mammal Fossils and Lawn Hill Gorge from above

This morning we revisited Lawn Hill National Park and took a walk observing the Gorge from above, then this afternoon we drove out to the World Heritage-listed Riversleigh fossil site to check out remains of big birds and turtles from 10 million years ago and a novel visitors’ centre that was inside the rock.

In between, we crossed our first river – the Prado handled it.

I am typing this in the golden light before sunset on the hill above Adels Grove – where there’s Telstra reception.
