Court House, Broken Hill has gracious charm

This historic court house is an example of the fine architecture that characterised a boom period in the fortunes of this silver, lead and zinc-mining town in the desert around the late nineteenth century. Population peaked at 35,000 in 1915 (currently 19,000).
